A clean record makes sense for many reasons. It is not as hard on your equipment - especially the stulus. Also there is some evidence that dirt and oils are hard the record itself. If you are going to clean your records by hand, the best material to use for wiping and drying is microfiber. The cloth measures 16" x 16", is soft enough not to scratch or leave smudges on the surface of your record, computer screen, game screen, gps, camera, television or any other electronic equipment.
